TransMOB: using the multimodal mobility budget as a planning tool

We are moving more and more multimodally. We use different means of transport  depending on where we want to go. For commuting trips, the introduction of multimodal mobility budgets will respond to this. The technology is increasingly allowing the organization and financial settlement of this to happen efficiently. Consider, for example, the Mobib card from the NMBS or other providers.

The TransMob project investigates how the technology and the data obtained can be used in mobility planning. A flexible one-payer system for all modes not only lowers the threshold for the user but also provides a treasure chest for mobility data.

On behalf of the VIM, Traject coordinates a number of expert working groups around this theme. The results of the expert working groups and other parts of the TransMob project was presented on 15 December 2016 in Antwerp.
